Description

[99 CalApp2d Page 842] Plaintiff made X-ray pictures of parts of anatomies of patients, for the use of doctors and dentists. These pictures are called radiographs. Plaintiff took and developed radiographs, and made reports analyzing their meaning. He was what is termed a lay technician. He made no diagnoses from the radiographs. But he did advise the professional men of his conclusions of conditions of anatomies as they appeared to him in the pictures. He ""interpreted light shadows."" His reports were oral over the telephone, or in writing. He testified that he did not base his charges at the rate of so much per radiograph; that his charges were for his services in securing information necessary for the doctor or dentist in each case.
